Welcome to Chicago
Home of hot dogs, pizza and outrageous FINES. Compared by some to the unwanted parking deal and red light cameras, Mayer Rahm Emanuel has granted permission for a new headache, the installation of electronic speed cameras around Chicagoland. While first being rolled out in school zones and parks under the legitimate guise of safety, only time will tell where new cameras pop up. Drivers recorded going at least 6 mph over the posted speed limits will receive warning citations for the first 30 days of implementation, then $35 tickets will be mailed directly to your house. Motorists clocked at more than 10 mph over the limit will be tagged for $100 fines.
